Football Analyst Sutton Takes On Artist Murs in Premier League Forecasts

The Gunners' 10-game winning run came to an end by Sunderland prior to the global hiatus, however can the Premier League leaders bounce back against local foes Spurs this weekend?

"{I believe like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a plan for this match," stated soccer expert Chris Sutton.

"The Spurs manager will attempt to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating best this season - but Mikel Arteta's side typically still manage to win."

The analyst is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League fixtures this season, versus AI, fans and a range of special visitors.

In the twelfth round, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United supporter.

Murs' latest album, the new release, is out on the weekend.

Soccer and Parenting Experiences

Murs is a talented footballer as well as a successful singer and has been a featured player of several charity football matches over time - but he is not planning a serious return as a footballer.

"{I recently played in a charity match the other night for a friend of mine," he said. "My team was losing 3-1 when I came off in the second half, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you will!

"I still love football, but I injured my knee a few years ago and it even now hasn't fully recovered. I wish I could play more but the uncertainty of the game means it's too dangerous for me in my profession to do it seriously again.

"Plus I am 41 now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am gearing up for the moment that my daughter or boy decides to play instead."

Murs and his wife his partner have two children, Madison and Albert, and he is ready to follow in his father's footsteps by becoming their coach.

"I won't force football on our children but I've already told my wife that if they do get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will likely be coaching their weekend football team," he added.

"I watched my nephews play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I obviously was involved with a soccer team for a period too.

"My dad did it with us when I was a child, which is probably where I get it from. He coached our team for two or three seasons and had great fun with it. That could be the future for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"

Premier League Predictions

Saturday, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues might have to wait a bit longer for their star's comeback from fitness issues but their attack is already more potent with Pedro and Delap both returned to fitness.

I still think this game will be fairly tight, however. The Clarets are disciplined and their only at Turf Moor losses so far have been against Liverpool and Arsenal.

This suggests a one-all draw to me, but I am in fact going to choose the London side to win narrowly for what would be their third league win in a row.

Sutton's prediction: 1-2

The singer's pick: The Blues will be superior. 1-3

Artificial intelligence's outlook: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Bournemouth have lost their previous couple games - although both of them were away - but they got thoroughly beaten by Aston Villa last time out which surprised me.

In contrast, the Hammers secured back-to-back victories before the international break and, although both of those fixtures were at their stadium, they appear competitive again.

The Hammers' only on the road win this campaign came at Forest in the summer, when West Ham manager Nuno was previously Forest coach.

So, what on earth do I go with here - can West Ham continuing their streak under Nuno, or the home side bouncing back?

I am going to go with the Cherries, because I believe what occurred against Aston Villa was a blip.

The pundit's forecast: 2-0

Olly's prediction: The home team are doing well but West Ham have improved under their boss. 2-2

The algorithm's prediction: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Brentford were considered one of the favourites for the drop before the campaign started, but they have surprised a few people under Keith Andrews and are in fine fettle with three wins in their last four games.

My son advised me to get Brentford forward Thiago in my fantasy soccer squad a few weeks ago and, unfortunately, I ignored the advice.

Thiago will likely score again on the weekend but I am still not going to select him or back the away side at Amex Stadium.

They have not had great fortune on the travel this season, and Brighton are consistently strong at home. Brentford will attempt to attack on the break but I think Fabian Hurzeler's side pose much more of a danger.

The analyst's prediction: 2-1

The singer's view: This could be one of those games where you think there is going to be a lot of goals but it in reality turns out to be quite tight. 1-1

AI's prediction: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

It is a huge game for Fulham, who have lost five of their last six games.

They have have lots of talent in their squad but it still seems like they could be sucked into a drop zone battle.

As for the Black Cats, well they are the unexpected success of the Premier League campaign so far.

Their performance in the 2-2 tie with Arsenal last time out was superb. We've not witnessed anyone else disrupt the Gunners like that this term, and Sunderland were more than a match for them.

The sensible thing to do to back the Black Cats here, because they are obviously able of disrupting the hosts up too and, the last time they were in this part of London, they beat Chelsea at the end of last month.

However I am not do that. Instead, I truly need to continue going against Sunderland with my forecasts. I am taking a lot of credit for their positive results because they clearly love to prove me wrong.

Considering Fulham's at Craven Cottage form, the only side they have been defeated by is the league leaders. Their manager's team will be absolutely eager for a good outcome, so I am going to say they will secure three points.

Sutton's forecast: 1-0

The guest's choice: I know the visitors are doing well and additionally that Fulham are on a poor run... but they have still been respectable at Craven Cottage this season. 2-0

The algorithm's prediction: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

This is a hard one to predict. Liverpool have suffered seven of their last ten matches in every tournament, but could they be among the teams who profit from the {international break|
