The debutant Tested by the opposition's main danger through their forward. Operated in a central role early on but moved to the flank once Saka was introduced. 7/10

John Stones Advanced up the pitch when in possession, a familiar role in the past. On occasion lacked urgency when carrying play and the tactic was shelved at half-time. 6

Dan Burn A nuisance on corners and free-kicks, typically, but may be another option for Stones in the backline as opposed to his partner. A loose distribution in the second half nearly resulted in an opener for the visitors. Six

The young full-back One more assured performance from the youngster after his first cap versus another side. A teammate did not capitalize on the opportunity from a gorgeous touch behind the opposing backline. His position is his to lose already. Seven

The newcomer His first start with the national team. Slightly loose when playing out though his dangerous deliveries were a threat. An effective game manager available to the boss to call upon against sides that sit back. Shown a yellow after a reckless foul. 6/10

The midfielder Set-pieces on corner kicks and free-kicks caused problems. Enjoyed license to roam in left midfield yet found himself offside upon receiving in front of goal. Awarded a well-earned substitution around the 60-minute point. Six

The star midfielder Played in a high spot on the right and did plenty of dirty work. Demonstrated flashes of quality and dragged an effort over. Substituted towards the end for a teammate, his rival, after being booked. Seven

Jarrod Bowen Was presented with the team's best chance in the opening period, his shot smartly stopped from the Albanian keeper. With a teammate staying deep, it fell to him to provide width out wide yet his deliveries into the box were inconsistent. Substituted late in the match. 6

Harry Kane The match-winner with his two more finishes in an England shirt. The first a trademark opportunist's goal and his next an excellent finish with his head having drifted away from his marker. Now 32, he continues to improve and the side have every chance next summer when he's in the team. 8/10

The attacker Had difficulty to make an impact on the left flank. Was presented with a good opening after being played in from a teammate yet the keeper made the save. His replacement had a greater an impact after coming on. Five
