Star Refutes Anti-Vaxxer Stance After Lending His Voice To Contentious Pandemic Feature
Liam Neeson has provided his narration to a new documentary that questions the efficacy of vaccines and lauds one-time government figure RFK Jr.
The Feature's Contentious Foundation
Named "Plague of Corruption," the documentary is based on a bestselling book co-authored by Judy Mikovits, who became famous during the pandemic for claims that the virus was caused by a bad strain of the influenza shot.
The book's co-author, Kent Heckenlively, has previously authored books with conspiracy-prone figure a known commentator. The producer took to social media hailing Neeson's role in the film.
A Firm Rebuttal
Representatives for Neeson have released a statement firmly refuting suggestions that he supports anti-vax beliefs.
"Many understand that corruption can exist within the medical sector, but that should never be equated to being against vaccines," the response explains. "He has never been, and remains not, anti-vaccination. His considerable work with Unicef highlights his enduring support for global immunisation initiatives."
The statement continued that the actor had no hand in the project's narrative and that concerns about its assertions are best addressed to the creators.

As presented, the narration spoken by Neeson features several provocative claims:

- It argues that "research has become highly politicised."

Previous Background and Recent Issues
It also references a 2004 BBC documentary about clinical trials on children, which was subsequently the topic of a formal apology by the broadcaster for unbalanced reporting.
In recent weeks, RFK Jr directed the Centers for Disease Control to alter its longstanding position that there is no link between immunizations and autism. This claim is also referenced in the documentary, even with a new report from the WHO stating no such link has been found.
A Previous Record of Endorsement
Standing in contrast to the film's tone, Neeson has in the past voiced clear advocacy for vaccines in his capacity as a Unicef global ambassador.
Two years ago, he referred to vaccines as "an incredible achievement," noting that "The conversation about vaccines in lately has forgotten how much positive impact they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest human endeavors in our history."
The documentary ends with Neeson's voice proclaiming, "This marks not the finish of our story. It is the start of a fresh chapter."
