The Eurovision Song Contest Was Once a Lighthearted Spectacle – But It Has Become a Calculated Tool to Sanitize Conflict.

Yet as young survivors are now suffering from the cold in makeshift tent camps, there is a piece of uplifting information: nothing is going to stop the international singing competition from advancing its professed goal of “togetherness and artistic sharing.” Eurovision will continue to roll out a welcoming platform for Israel, despite the fact that several European countries have now boycotted in dissent.
