Travis Head Reached Out to Ben Duckett After Social Media Clip Criticism
Head and Duckett have been on rival teams in the past two Ashes contests.
Aussie batter Travis Head stated that he made contact to England counterpart Ben Duckett after a online footage circulated that seemed to depict the player in a inebriated state before the Melbourne Test.
Accounts indicated that members of the squad were drinking excessively during a respite in the beach town of Noosa between the second and the third Tests.
One unverified video led to greater scrutiny on the team and on Duckett personally.
"I get on with Ducky and contacted him to see if he was going alright," stated Head.
"We are all still human. Your actions in your own time is your own business.
"I understand we live a very public life and certain individuals are more visible than others.
"At the end of the day, it is a rather harsh but I don't believe there is any genuine problem."
Background of the Situation
England's time in Noosa followed they had gone 2-0 down in the Ashes series after defeats in the first two Tests.
Multiple media outlets stated that some players were consuming alcohol for a significant portion of their time on the Queensland coast, as well as on two previous days in Brisbane.
Though they produced an improved showing in the next Test, they were defeated in Adelaide to surrender the series to Australia.
The Australian's Take
Commenting following the visiting team's win in the Melbourne Test, Head remarked: "I felt envious.
"People has blown it out of proportion than it warranted.
"Our teams have done the same thing on earlier trips. I don't have an problem with it."
